Back Pain Self Treatment – Tips You Ought To Know

In one of my previous articles, I gave a short review whether “back pain relief” methods are suited for you (or your condition).

However, in this post I will go in depth about the back pain self-treatment. Also, you will learn what you should really know before starting with your back pain relief journey.

In most of the methods, you will be asked to perform some back pain exercises for sure, but don’t begin with any of the exercises without first consulting with a back pain professional, OR if any of the following scenarios occurred:
  • If you have developed lower back pain for the first time.
  • If you have severe pain in the leg below the knee (which may include weakness and numbness in the foot and toes)
  • If your lower back pain is caused by a recent severe accident.
  • If you developed bladder problems (after severe episodes of back pain).

However, if you still think that you don’t need help from a health professional, then you must answer some of the questions below, as the last step before starting with your favorite back pain method.

  • Are there periods in the day when you have no pain?
  • Did the pain occur above the knee?
  • Are you feeling worse when you sit/stand for long periods?
  • Are you feeling worse with prolonged bending (ironing, vacuuming, gardening…) or lying?
  • Are you feeling worse when inactive and better with moving/walking?
  • Have you had several episodes of lower back pain over the past months?
If you answered YES, than wait no more, you are perfect candidate to start your back pain self-treatment today! :)
